New self‑pay patient
We take a New Patient Fee of 40% of the appointment value, and you receive your 60% immediately. You're then free to manage all follow‑up bookings directly with the patient. If you include a subtle backlink to MediMo on your website, this fee is reduced and you receive 70% instead.New insured patient
For insured bookings, we charge a flat £10 fee per booking, reflecting the lower reimbursement clinics typically receive from insurers.Existing patient bookings

Yes! If you add a small backlink to MediMo from your clinic website (either text or badge, the code snippet is provided in your account dashboard), we'll automatically reduce your commission from 40% to 30% for all new patient bookings.

Absolutely. If you refer another practice and they join MediMo, you'll receive £100 in booking credit once they've been live for 30 days. That credit covers your future MediMo commissions — meaning you keep 100% of your booking value until your credit runs out.

Firstly, we ask the patient during the booking process if they have visited your practice before.
We also run a quick check (using name and date of birth) to confirm if a patient is in your existing database.

We're fully set up to support private medical insurance (PMI) bookings alongside self-pay patients.
Because clinics often earn less from insured appointments, we charge a simple flat £10 fee per insured booking — instead of our usual commission.
You also have flexibility in how you list these services: add insurer-specific appointments (e.g. "Bupa Physio Assessment") that only insured patients can book, or allow both self-pay and insured patients to book standard services — with the option to skip payment at checkout if they're insured. For any services that don't take upfront payment, a £10 invoice is automatically issued after the booking.
At checkout, insured patients are asked to enter their policy number and pre-authorisation number (if applicable). These details are automatically added to the appointment notes in your diary so you have them in one place.

No. To keep things simple and consistent for patients, we use a standard policy. Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance are fully refunded. No refunds are given for cancellations within 24 hours or for no-shows.

Most patients pay upfront when they book. MediMo uses Stripe Connect to instantly split the fee, so you receive your share straight away — no invoicing or payment chasing.
For insured bookings where payment isn't taken at checkout, a £10 invoice is automatically issued to your clinic after the appointment is confirmed.

You’ll get email notifications, and MediMo bookings will be clearly labelled in your calendar.

Absolutely. You’re in control. Pause your listing any time and reactivate it whenever you’re ready. Or delete your profile permanently if needed, though this will remove your account history and data.

Not at all. MediMo integrates directly with Cliniko, Nookal and PracticeHub (with more systems coming soon). You keep managing your schedule as normal and MediMo brings new patients to help fill it. No need to switch systems or retrain your staff.
